Photo gear

Canon 5D MK III Everyone knows the quality of Canon 5D series. Amazing camera in every way. I love Canon colors, menu system and screen quality. Battery lasts very long. Now even better and newer verson 5D MK IV is out. My only gripe about this camera is that it`s heavy. I have waited many years that Canon could come out with light full frame mirrorless body that has focus point joystick, but it seams I have to wait more or switch brand.

Canon 16-35 F4 IS What a good lens it is for landscape work. Sharp in corners and reasonably light.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 II It’s good to have something lightweight time to time. This tiny little cam has won many tests and is amazing lite, has good controls , great viewfinder and great image quality. I use it with ECG-1 Grip for more comfortable hold. I remove the grip if I want to travel extra light.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Amazing quality for such a light and tiny lens.

It is possible to rent additional lenses for Olympus if I wish in my town in here.

Manfrotto 190 Go! Carbon Tripod I used Manfrotto 055 series tripod many years before this little baby. 055 series tripod served me very well, but because of the size and weight I pondered whether to bring it with me or not every time I went for a hike. So I sold it and bought 190 carbon. It`s light and strong for my needs and it has very good twist locks that I like better than flip locks on old tripod.

Sirui K-20x Ball Head It has served me many-many years. Although I had to glue rubber rings on knobs couse they tend to move freely, it has been perfect other than that.

Sirui T-1205X tripod. For multiple days hike even Manfrotto Go tripod is too much for me, so I use even lighter and smaller Sirui tripod. I have’nt use it very long, so I can not tell you anything about long term wear, but it seems to have a good quality. I have FLM Centerball 24 ball head on it. It has screw on solution for saving weight.

Lowepro Flipside Sport 15L AW. Amazing bag, read about it here.

ThinkTANK Glass Limo backpack. I used it with my Canon 500mm F4 IS lens and on other occasions when I need more space than my Lowepro bag can offer.

Lee filters. I use 10-stop big stopper and 0.6ND hard grad filter at the moment. I store them in a neat pouch.

Outdoor gear

Casio G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400-1ER I use it for altitude, temperature and compass readings. G-Shock watches have hate or love design. I love it.

MSR Elixir 2 Light and reliable tent. Never had a drop of water in bedroom. Enough room for backpack and other stuff if I camp alone and fairly enough room for 2-person camping.

Therm-A-Rest BASECAMP AF matress. Most comfortable Therm-A-Rest mat I have ever used. It`s a heavy for single hiking on mountains, but it`s ok to carry for one night trip or cartrip of course. I don`t like air matresses, they are noisy and not so comfortable. Foam inserted or mixed matresses are way more comfortable.

Osprey Atmos AG 65 backpack What I like about this bag is that it`s very comfortable on hips. I made Tour du Mont Blanc 160km hike with it and I was very pleased.

MSR WindPro II stove. Canister stove with upright mode for cold weather.

Led Lenser SEO 5 head torch. Must have accessory in landscape photography I think.
